The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Controller enables administrators to instantly provision and configure thousands of UniFi APs, allowing for quick, simple management of system traffic. A single UniFi Controller can manage multiple sites: multiple, distributed deployments and multi-tenancy for managed service providers.

This post describes how to install the UniFi Controller software Version 5 on Ubuntu.

The instructions in this post are supported on the following Ubuntu releases:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS  Precise Pangolin
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS  Trusty Tahr
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS  Xenial Xerus
Ubuntu 17.10  Artful Aardvark
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS  Bionic Beaver
The instructions in this post have been tested with the following UniFi releases:
UniFi 5.7.23
A UniFi 5 Installation Script for Ubuntu has been provided to automate the instructions in this post.

    So i have run into this error after executing your script can you help me with this?
    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    unifi : Depends: mongodb-server (< 1:3.6.0) but it is not going to be installed or
    mongodb-10gen (< 3.6.0) but it is not installable or
    mongodb-org-server (< 3.6.0) but 3.6.6 is to be installed
    E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
